Egg Free Dairy Free Nut Free Gluten Free Chocolate Cake

Ingredients - Cake

  • 112 cups gluten free flour (I used Edmonds)
  • 3 Tbspn cocoa powder
  • 34 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 13 cup oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbspn GF vinegar (I used apple cider)

 

Ingredients - Frosting

  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 3 Tbspn cocoa
  • 2 Tbspn water
  • Optional: small amount of DF dark chocolate to decorate

 

Method

  1. Stir together dry ingredients
  2. Add wet ingredients, ensuring vinegar is added last
  3. Beat until well combined
  4. Pour into cake tin
  5. Bake for approx 25 min
  6. Transfer to a cooling rack

 

Method - easy frosting

  1. Allow cake to cool
  2. Sift icing sugar and cocoa into a bowl
  3. Add water & mix into a creamy paste
  4. Spread over cake
  5. Grate some dark chocolate to decorate
